Culture Group began to take shape in 2000, following the launch of Culture Magazine. Established with the Millennium Commission and the Prince's Trust, the publication's success completely surpassed all expectations.
Within one year of Culture Magazine's launch, the publication was showcased as part of the Prince's Trust's 25th anniversary celebrations to a television audience of over 200 million, and was recognised for instigating significant social change by the Millennium Commission.
From its beginning as a regional magazine, Culture was accepted into the general mainstream music and entertainment market. It attracted endorsements from some of the biggest names in the business and frequently achieved exclusive accreditation for some of Europe's largest music events, including London's Party in the Park. Admittedly, the list of those who have received the Culture treatment is impossible to ignore; it's a 'who's who' of popular and youth culture.
Despite the magazine's success, Founder and Editor Glynn Pegler kept his feet firmly on the ground and maintained the publication's original goal; as a voice and opportunity to empower young people. Glynn's integrity and proven track record for coming up with the goods raised his profile, and he found himself wanted across the UK not only as a journalist but also a marketing guru and an authority on youth communications. And with this, Culture Group was formed.
Becoming a serious market competitor, Culture Group diversified into handling charity
PR campaigns and took part in promotions for the likes of Scope, RNID and the high profile 'Text Tony' political campaign for NCH.
Culture Group also continued to make waves in the private sector. Most notably on UK campaigns and events and providing content for numerous major companies targeted at the under 30's including Orange, Virgin, Glastonbury, BBC TV & Radio, Capital Radio and GWR Group.
With new premises and an expanding creative team, Culture Group is entering its next phase. The company maintains an unfaltering momentum and passion for empowering young people and assisting organisations and individuals who aim to communicate with them.
